Melven is an online baby and toddler shop serving families across the United Kingdom. We stock the practical, everyday things that get used constantly in the first few years - feeding sets, bath time essentials, carriers and slings, play mats, nursery pieces and sleep accessories.
There is no shortage of baby products in the world. What there is a shortage of is clear information about them. Most parents buying a bath seat or a carrier are doing it for the first time, often quickly, often tired, and often from a phone. That is who we write our product pages for.
How We Choose What We Sell
We keep the range deliberately small. Every product we list has to earn its place by being something a parent will actually reach for, not something that looks good in a photo and then lives in a cupboard.
Before anything goes on the site, we write out its real specifications - materials, dimensions, age range, how it washes. If we cannot confirm a detail, we leave it out rather than guess. You will notice we do not say "suitable from birth" on things that are not, and we do not describe a product as doing something it does not do. That sounds like a low bar. In this category, it is not.
How We Describe Things
We try to write about products the way you would explain them to a friend. That means measurements in centimetres, honest age ranges, and plain descriptions of what something is for.
It also means we avoid claims we cannot stand behind. We do not tell you a toy will make your baby smarter or that a pillow will help them sleep through the night. We describe what the product is, what it is made from, and who it suits. What it does for your family is something you will find out for yourselves.
Delivery and Returns
We deliver across the United Kingdom with no minimum spend, and every order is sent with tracking so you can see where it is. Orders are processed within 1 to 3 working days and typically arrive within 5 to 8 working days.
If something is not right, you have 30 days from delivery to arrange a return. If an item arrives faulty, damaged or is not what you ordered, we cover the return shipping and sort out a replacement or refund. For change-of-mind returns, the return postage is paid by you - we would rather say that plainly here than bury it in the small print.

Our support team answers emails Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00 (GMT), and we aim to reply within 24 hours. A real person reads every message. If you are unsure whether a product suits your child's age or your bathroom or your buggy, ask us before you order - we would rather answer a question than process a return.
